On Saturday, March 5th, my sister (and maid of honor) Carrie threw me a 1960's "Mad Men" themed bridal shower. She and my friend Michelle were both busy little bees before the party, meticulously rolling out pigs in a blanket, making up white-bread sandwiches, mixing frothy sherbet punch, and preparing trays of snacks. The house was a vision of 1960's nostalgia, with vintage decorations, dishes, and candies (including candy cigarettes). Guests were encouraged to dress in vintage fashions and many of them rose to the occasion. The ladies mingled, munched on classic finger foods, and sipped mimosas, bellinis, sangria, and bottled Cokes. Neat-o!

Thank you, lady! I wish you could have been there. So fun to re-visit the elaborate hostess rituals of the late 50's and early 60's ;)
