A vision of spring

Father Winter, you've had your last hurrah. Bundle up that white cloak of yours and move aside. I'm ready for spring and dreaming of graceful plum blossoms, brightly-colored paper cranes, and sweet feminine fans. I'm also a very inspired bride...

We're nearing the two month mark. I can't believe how fast the time has flown by!

Isn't it lovely?

I just wanted to share a few photos from the family tea party/bridal shower my mother hosted for me last weekend. Everything was wonderfully girly-- with pink and red homemade valentine garlands and sweet treats. We drank fragrant teas out of delicate tea cups and munched on little sandwiches. Everything was beautiful, with so many adorable details!

Tray after tray of little chocolate cakes and cupcakes, all painstakingly hand-decorated by my Mom

Cute sugar cookies!

Mini phyllo dough tarts filled with vanilla pudding and topped with a raspberry

Everything was served on Mom's Noritake "Bluebell" fine china

My aunts, sisters, cousins, and future mother and sister in law were in attendance, as well as my girlfriends Shauna and Sandi. It really was a special afternoon. Thanks, Mom! ;)
